ABAKUS IT-Solutions - Senior Cloud Administrator (AWS)

We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Cloud Administrator (AWS). In this role, you will play a key part in administering, configuring, and optimizing AWS services to support critical operations. Working under the guidance of the Service Owner and Service Delivery Manager, you will ensure high availability, security, and performance of cloud environments while driving automation and efficiency in system management.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC to meet requirements.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for AWS-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving operational problems promptly.
• Provision and maintain virtual machines, Storage, and databases on AWS, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Manage and optimize AWS networking components, including Vpcs, subnets, route tables, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
• Automate the deployment and management of AWS resources using AWS CloudFormation, TerraForm, or similar tools.
• Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline routine tasks such as instance management, backups, and scaling.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver tailored solutions that align with business goals.
• Perform other duties as required to support operational needs and organizational goals.
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer and Information Systems Technology or equivalent qualification/accreditation by a recognized engineering institute or professional body.
• Proficiency in administering and managing AWS environments, including IAM, EC2, Alb, CloudFront, CloudFormation, WAF, Monitoring, Storage, and Cognito.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Advanced knowledge of securing and managing VPC networks, Firewalls, and access control mechanisms.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
