ABAKUS IT-Solutions - System Architect (Cloudian S3 Storage)

At ABAKUS IT Solutions, we are seeking a skilled and motivated S3 Cloudian Storage Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing Cloudian S3-compatible object Storage systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance Storage solutions to support our business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design Cloudian S3 Storage solutions in cloud and hybrid environments to meet business and application requirements.
• Manage Cloudian S3 Storage clusters, ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficient Storage usage.
• Design recovery and disaster recovery strategies using S3-compatible object Storage systems.
• Proactively monitor Storage performance, capacity, and usage using Hyperiq for AI-powered analytics and insights.
• Ensure optimal load distribution across Storage nodes, maximizing performance and reducing bottlenecks.
• Ensure that Storage solutions comply with security standards, encryption protocols, and relevant data privacy regulations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate S3 object Storage with various enterprise applications, databases, and cloud-native tools.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to manage Storage lifecycles, backups, and provisioning using tools like TerraForm and Ansible.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Storage performance, data loss, access, and security.
• Create and maintain documentation for Storage architecture, policies, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Network, and Cloud teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications.

Required skills & experience

• 10 years of experience in Storage engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role with a focus on S3 and object Storage systems.
• Experience with Hyperbalance for efficient load distribution across nodes in object Storage environments.
• Expertise in using Hyperiq for monitoring, analytics, and improving overall system reliability through AI-driven insights.
• Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly using S3 APIs or similar object Storage services.
• Knowledge of object Storage protocols and tools (e.g., AWS S3, NFS, CIFS, and REST APIs).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies using S3-compatible Storage.
• Familiarity with automation tools like TerraForm, Ansible, or PowerShell for Storage management and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
• Understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms to ensure secure Storage environments.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for performance management, capacity planning, and uptime (e.g., Hyperiq, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of object Storage operations, network connectivity, and performance tuning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

• SAFe certification (SAFe Architect, SAFe Agilist, or similar).
• Experience in managing Agile teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly in the context of SAFe.
• Demonstrated experience with Cloudian Hyperstore, Hyperbalance, Hyperiq, or similar distributed Storage platforms.
• Knowledge of hybrid Cloud Storage setups (integrating On-Prem and Cloud Storage solutions).
• Experience with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes (using object Storage with Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with data migration and replication strategies for large-scale Storage environments
