The role and opportunity
As an Account Executive you will be working closely with Adam Rowe-Williams (Sales Manager), Anasuya (Chief Commercial Officer), Nick Atling (Marketing), and the SDR team to strategise, and execute our GTM to engage with the largest and most exciting UK businesses.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys managing highly complex deals that involve multiple stakeholders. It requires a strategic thinker who can navigate intricate negotiations and build strong, lasting relationships with clients. You will thrive in this role if you are adept at multithreading and can seamlessly collaborate with both the sales and marketing teams. Additionally, being hands-on with your deals and participating in client-facing activities, such as attending dinners and breakfasts, will be key to your success. If you are curious, hardworking, and enthusiastic about contributing to outreach campaigns to generate new pipeline opportunities, this position is an excellent fit for you.
Day to day you will:
- Research, plan, and collaborate with the SDR and marketing team to create outreach campaigns for our target accounts in financial services, professional services, legal, recruitment, media, and tech
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at various levels within client organisations, including C-suite executives
- Conduct in-depth needs analysis and discovery meetings to understand clients' business challenges and tailor solutions to meet their needs
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the value proposition of Octopus Money
- Consult on business level strategy and demonstrate in a business case how the value proposition connects to the business' objectives
- Lead and coordinate internal resources, including SDR, operations, and launch/success teams, to ensure seamless deal delivery
- Help to formulate our enterprise strategy and be prepared for this to evolve over time
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
- Participate in client-facing activities such as dinners, breakfasts, and industry events to strengthen client relationships and drive engagement
- Provide regular feedback and insights to the product development team based on client needs and market demand, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation

More about you
- 3+ years experience in a 360 or closing role with mid-market or enterprise accounts
- A natural curiosity about business and the ability to use this to construct a highly tailored outreach
- Great storyteller and be able to captivate an audience
- Proven experience, ideally in workplace benefits or HR Tech/SaaS
- Strong relationship building skills, you have engaged senior executives including C-level
- Highly organised with strong project management skills
- Flexibility to attend client dinners, breakfasts, and other face to face networking events
- A self-starter, you don't wait to be told what to do but have the initiative and drive to reach your goals independently
Nice to have (but not necessary)
- Experience with Hubspot, Apollo, Sales Navigator, G-Suite, Trumpet
In return for your contribution we offer a base salary of £55,000 - £65,000 + £32,500 (OTE - uncapped)
