Based in Glasgow City centre, our client is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The role is a 35-hour working week, with standard hours being 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is offered, with options for reduced hours such as 9am-2pm.
Your new role
In this role you can expect your daily tasks to include downloading and recording banking receipts, depositing cheques, managing the generic email inbox, and processing supplier invoices. Weekly tasks may involve, but are not limited to, performing bank reconciliations, generating tax receipts, reconciling supplier statements, executing supplier payment runs, and managing credit control.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar and must have strong attention to detail. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate openly and build positive relationships both internally and externally. You will have experience working with Excel, including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables. You must also be available to start the role at short notice, able to hit the ground running, demonstrate initiative and have a confident and effective communication style. You will have experience assisting with the month-end routine and possess query resolution skills.
