ADHD Assessor Nurse- REMOTE ROLE

ProblemShared is seeking an experienced ADHD Assessor to join the service. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to work in a high-performance team at a scaling health technology company and have responsibility for driving our business growth from day one.

The correct candidate will have relevant experience of carrying out remote assessments and will have a passion for what we do.

Main duties of the job

1. Assess adults and young people for ADHD, considering differential and/or co-occurring conditions to make diagnostic decisions.
2. Use clinical judgement and experience to make treatment decisions using highly developed skills and knowledge regarding management of adults and young people with ADHD.
3. Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for diagnostic decision making within competence, with supervision from Team Leads.
4. Formulate and implement plans for the treatment of clients.
5. Ensure that the clients interests are fully considered within the context of their treatment plan, ensuring that all parties actively participate in ethical, shared decision making, utilising a multidisciplinary team approach.
6. Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs during ongoing patient care.
7. Ensure accurate and timely client records are kept on the clinical platform. Reports should be written professionally and completed within expected timeframes.
8. Make recommendations on any additional assessments or interventions required (as appropriate) to the client within the report.
9. Work closely with senior leadership team on the further development of the ADHD pathways.
10. Provide consultation and training to other members of staff to develop skills in this area of expertise.
11. Maintain registration with the appropriate governing body (NMC).
12. Access regular clinical supervision, management supervision, NMP supervision and multi-disciplinary team meetings/case discussions.

Person Specification Qualifications

1. Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice.
2. Registered nurse or allied health professional with experience of assessing and autonomously diagnosing ADHD.
3. Relevant knowledge and experience of ADHD treatments.
4. Right to work in the UK and a UK home address.
5. Relevant experience of carrying out remote assessments.
6. Ability to work effectively to manage own caseload.
7. Good knowledge of legislation, research and developments relevant to the field of ADHD.
8. A redacted ADHD assessment report must be provided prior to interview.
9. Experience of working with both CYPs and Adults with ADHD.
10. Knowledge of relevant screening tools (e.g. DIVA/ADHDRS/Conners).
11. Independent Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Depending on experience, Starting Salary £55,000.
