Job Description

Tiptree Medical Practice is proactively seeking an advanced nurse practitioner, on a part time basis for 20 hours per week, on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, to join our quest in re-balancing primary care, to be a rewarding environment for staff as well as achieving excellent patient care. Most importantly, we value staff happiness and proactively address work-life balance. We are a friendly, busy and innovative practice in north-east Essex. The team comprises of two friendly, supportive partners and 7 salaried GPs. We have an excellent nursing team comprising 4 advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs), 4 practice nurses, 2 HCAs, 2 clinical pharmacists and a pharmacy technician.

Main duties of the job

As an advanced nurse practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously, making decisions about patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

  • Assess and treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries.
  • Conduct health checks and provide routine vaccinations.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to patient care plans.

Person Specification Experience
  • Have a diagnostic and nurse prescribing qualification.
  • Have experience of providing multi-skilled healthcare and clinical treatment and be able to work with patients and members of the public.
  • Experience of working on clinical systems with the ability to enter and use patient data efficiently, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to liaise and communicate with clinical and administrative staff within the practice and partnership.
Qualifications
  • A Masters Degree in clinical practice.
  • Be a Registered General Nurse with experience of working within primary care.
