Job Description

Vincents is a successful family-owned business established in 1966, employing over 60 people across our four branches covering Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset. We are market leaders in agricultural, construction, and groundcare products, holding the market-leading Kubota franchise along with many other brands including Kverneland, Ktwo, Joskin, Tyrone Trailers, Nugent Trailers, and Mecalac.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Agricultural Machinery Engineer / Technician for our Holsworthy branch.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• PDI'ing new and used machinery to the manufacturer's specification.
• Servicing machinery to the manufacturer's specification on and off site.
• Repairing machinery to the manufacturer's specification on and off site.
• Competent to carry out diagnostics.
• Ensuring paperwork (job cards, timesheets) is completed in a timely manner with details as requested.
• Mentoring apprentices and trainees.

Secondary Responsibilities

These responsibilities are essential in a small business where all members of the team are required to work flexibly and help in all areas during busy periods:

• Providing high levels of customer service.
• Representing Vincent Tractors & Plant and promoting its brand throughout all activities.
• Keeping company information confidential.
• Ability to work hours as required by the business.

Minimum Requirements

• Agricultural engineering experience. Other industries will be considered or someone who is familiar with the industry, machinery, and terminology.

Education/ Training

• Four GCSEs or equivalent, Maths and English, grade C or above.
