AI/Cloud Solutions Architect for EU-funded research and innovation projects

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an AI/Cloud Solutions Architect to design and oversee the implementation of AI cloud-based platforms for applications in the transport and energy domains. You will be responsible for developing robust AI architectures, optimising data pipelines, and ensuring AI solutions align with business and environmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of AI architectures (conceptual and architectural design, high-level system blueprints).

• Implement scalable and high-performance cloud-based AI platforms.

• Design modular and flexible system prototypes that support rapid iteration and adaptation.

• Ensure AI solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define innovative cloud architectures to align with use case requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Master's degree and/or PhD in Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience (+5 years) in the design and deployment of AI platforms (including Digital Twin technologies) for energy, transport.

• Experience in cyber-security best practices and secure data pipelines.

• Familiarity with emerging tools (e.g. LLMs), and design patterns.

• Ability to explain AI models and cloud-based architectures to non-technical stakeholders.

• Advantageous, proven track record in research and innovation excellence and bid writing.

Additional Information

• This is a remote position with occasional travel within the EU.

• Candidates must be based in an EU country, preferably already located in Belgium.
