We currently have an exciting opportunity as an Alarms & Security Systems Manager working out of our Reading, Kemble Court offices. This role is a great opportunity to join an ambitious Protective Security team with big plans for the future!
What you will be doing as an Alarms & Security Systems Manager:
- Take responsibility of the AMC team, that run 24/7 365 days per year.
- Responsible for any projects related to the AMC or wider security team ensuring successful delivery.
- Responsible for Risk Management of the AMS with the ability to respond quickly to incidents.
- Deputise for senior members of the team and be part of the 'escalation rota'.
- Continuous Improvement of the AMC Operation and identify any operational/process improvements.
- Responsible for the ID/access card requests for staff and contractors as per the TW policy.
- Hold key relationships with internal senior managers and external stakeholders.
- Lead a team of ambassadors who promote a security conscious culture within Thames Water.
- Accountable for delivering agreed security KPIs and adhering to agreed SLAs.
What you should bring to the role:
- Experience of working in a regulated environment, ideally the water industry.
- Expert in physical security and associated Security Systems.
- Experience in the design and application of physical & personnel security measures.
- A strong leader with negotiation and people influencing skills.
- Understanding of security regulations, laws, and industry standards.
- Security Institute Diploma (level 5) in Security Management.
- Valid membership of Professional Security Body with active membership and evidence of CPD.
- Other recognised security qualification e.g. ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) prior to starting within this role.
