Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our AML Team Leader you will inspire individual growth by engaging in regular one-to-one sessions with team members providing feedback to boost performance and foster personal growth. You will manage operational tasks such as undertaking necessary administration work, including customer correspondence and record-keeping while ensuring smooth operations and attention to detail. You will also be efficiently assigning daily operational tasks to achieve seamless teamwork and maximum productivity.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Support Operational Duties: Assist the AML UK Manager with scheduling and other operational duties to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Embrace New Challenges: Take on similar ad hoc work as directed by the Manager, contributing to the dynamic and rewarding team environment.
  • Be the Reliable Support: Act as a constant point of reference, offering expert guidance and promptly addressing any queries or escalations made by the team.
  • Exceed Collaboration Expectations: Ensure optimal handling of escalations from various departments, including RFP, SG, CS, Loyalty, Legal, Compliance and Project Management Teams.
  • Lead AML Procedures: Oversee the correct application of AML procedures, focusing on risk assessment, Source of Income (SOI) requests, Documentation reviews and customer acceptance policies along with ensuring the quality of CRA remains compliant and ensuring we maintain a secure and trusted environment for our players.
  • Empower Proactive Actions: Independently identify suspicious behavior and take decisive action, including account blocking and conducting comprehensive AML and SOI checks, as well as flagging high-risk customers to management.
  • Ensure a Safe Environment: Escalate any suspicious behavior promptly through established processes, emphasizing the importance of a secure and protected space for our players.
  • Promote Skill Development: Be an expert on first-line routines and payment back offices, coordinating the training of new team members, and continually refining skills to ensure top-notch service.
  • Drive Process Innovation: Collaborate with other Team Leaders to keep policies up to date and introduce new routines and processes based on the evolving needs of the business.
  • Proactive Issue Resolution: Promptly escalate any issues that may impact daily operations to relevant stakeholders, ensuring smooth and effective workflow.
  • Nurture Team Excellence: Work closely with the QA/Trainer to conduct quality checks, measure team performance & SLAs, and identify training opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiencies and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Any other ad hoc projects.

  • Critical Thinking: Employing logical and objective reasoning to assess AML risks and make informed decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in conducting AML and EDD checks and investigations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and external agencies, especially when reporting AML matters.
  • Adaptability: Being flexible in a dynamic regulatory environment and adapting to changes in AML procedures and best practices.
  • Time Management: Efficiently managing workload and meeting deadlines for AML reporting and investigations.
  • Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with AML software, JIRA, Tableau, Zendesk.
  • Organizational Skills: Managing multiple AML cases and documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Legal and Regulatory Awareness: Understanding relevant AML laws, gaming regulations, and compliance obligations.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrating leadership qualities to guide and mentor AML teams effectively.
  • Report Writing: Preparing clear and concise AML reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Balancing AML compliance with maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Ethical Conduct: Upholding high ethical standards in handling sensitive AML information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Continuous Learning: Being proactive in staying updated with AML trends, industry best practices, and emerging threats.
