What we are looking for

We're seeking a driven Analyst with exceptional writing and data analysis skills to join our purpose-driven team. The ideal candidate is eager to make a real impact and is keen to get involved in a variety of services offered at Seismic.

About us

At Seismic, we have 2 key goals: to be the best place you have ever worked and to help 10 million people join the shift by 2030.

Along with creating impact through everything we do, connecting and building relationships is a core priority for us. That goes for our relationships with our amazing clients and with our fantastic team of changemakers, made up of a strong mix of B Corp, Net Zero, Reporting and Sustainability Comms experts, throughout the UK and Europe.

We love working with our clients. From SMEs to multinational corporations, we are committed to enabling them to prosper by helping them become ever more impactful forces for good.

All that's missing is you!

The role and its responsibilities

The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experiences of the right person. Key responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Supporting clients on their sustainability and ESG journey, this may include strategy, sustainability communications, calculating carbon impact, Guiding clients through B Corp certification and many other impactful workflows

  • Delivering a high-quality service that enables long-term impact.

  • Building strong and lasting relationships with colleagues, clients and our wider community.

  • Identifying ways to support our clients that they may not recognise to ensure we are providing solutions that are tailored to their objectives and future needs.

  • Supporting our marketing and business development which is essential to our impact goals.

About you

You believe that humanity and businesses need to make a seismic shift in the right direction and want to apply your consulting and analytical capabilities to help make that happen. At the same time, you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team who are delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:

  • You are passionate about sustainability and have an interest in the corporate sustainability market.

  • You have strong data analysis skills and are proficient in using Excel/GoogleSheets.

  • You have great communication skills (verbal and written), especially when it comes to communicating recommendations to clients and colleagues.

  • You have had some exposure to a professional working environment either from a start-up, a professional services firm, or a similar organisation.

  • You act with empathy in a 'human first' way at all times.

  • You are a practical "doer", you are organised and you push yourself and others.

  • You are comfortable giving feedback, even to senior management, with the spirit and intention needed to deliver our impact.

  • You are excited about the opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, learning and growing with Seismic as we deliver our vision.

Importantly, you love client work and also working with teammates to iterate products and services. You are a team player - you like a laugh but are not afraid to graft. You care deeply about sustainability, have plenty to offer, and know you have even more to learn.

You are action-oriented, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities. You are able to enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a 'people person' with a knack for building relationships with a diverse group of people.

You are more excited by the opportunities of working for a young, fast-growing, ever-evolving, purpose-driven business rather than for a large corporation.

In your first 3 months, you will:

  • Be introduced to your guide and mentor

  • Go through our onboarding programme with training across all our sustainability services

  • Join our weekly Personal Growth sessions on anything and everything to do with Impact

  • Begin working on your first client projects after initially shadowing the team

Location

Ideally you will be within commuting distance of our London office, attending the office (Spitalfields) at least twice per week.

Working hours

We believe in flexible working hours to better suit our personal lives while being considerate of each other and our clients. We generally work core office hours but trust each other to make fair decisions.

  • £200 per year wellbeing budget

  • £200 home office setup budget

  • Employee Assistance Programme

  • Wellbeing and benefits platform

  • Bupa health insurance

  • Cycle to Work scheme

  • Financial coaching (Bippit)

  • and a roadmap for future benefits as we grow
