THE ROLE

We're looking for an AR & Billing Specialist to be responsible for managing the billing processes of Carwow with support from our Billing Specialist, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in issuing invoices, tracking payments, and addressing billing discrepancies.

Day to day you'll work across the following areas:

Invoice Generation and Processing:

  1. Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers and clients.
  2. Verify billing data, correct errors, and resolve discrepancies.
  3. Maintain up-to-date records of invoices and account statuses.
  4. Raising credit notes where required.
  5. Processing credit card payment transactions.

Payment Tracking and Follow-up:

  1. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  2. Direct debit management and uploading.
  3. Allocating payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
  4. Contact clients for payment reminders and to resolve billing issues.

Customer Support:

  1. Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
  2. Provide detailed explanations of billing charges and policies.
  3. Address and resolve customer disputes in a timely and professional manner.

Reporting and Analysis:

  1. Generate regular reports on billing activities, account statuses, and ageing receivables. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
  2. Identify trends and suggest process improvements to enhance billing operations.

Compliance and Record-Keeping:

  1. Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and organised billing records and documentation.
  2. Stay informed on changes in billing regulations and best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  1. NetSuite experience - ideally at least 1 year + of experience using the platform.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related role.
  3. Some proficiency with Excel.
  4. Knowledge of accounting systems.
  5. Exceptional organisational skills, follow-up skills, and very high attention to detail.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  7. Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  8. Ability to juggle/manage multiple tasks/projects and competing requirements, often under strict deadlines.
  9. Committed to high quality customer service (internal and external).
  10. Strong reliability and a great team-player.
  11. Languages: English (required), German (nice to have).
