Architectural Design & Development Manager - Client side

We are working in partnership with a leading international private school business who due to further expansion of their global portfolio are looking for a Architectural Design & Development Manager to join their London team. The role would suit a Part III qualified design orientated Architect who is looking to develop their skills across the full project lifecycle.

Remuneration:

£45,000 - £52,000 + Benefits + Bonus

London office hybrid 3/2 set up

The successful Architect will join an exceptional business with a global portfolio of high-end K-12 schools. The role will be front end design focused overseeing their new build and existing school campus asset enhancement projects. Due to the nature of the business the role will have a heavier focus on the front-end RIBA 0 - 3 design (with data driven efficiency technology) looking at space planning, acquisition due diligence, early feasibility and concept stages and then having a higher level design guardian oversight of the external architects and development team across the RIBA 4 - 6 project lifecycle. Due to the location of the projects there would be the opportunity to travel internationally circa 2 / 3 times per year.

A core part of the role will involve stakeholder management and communication with the development, delivery and education teams across the globe so the role would suit a qualified architect with exceptional communications skills and solid technical experience with AutoCad, Adobe creative, Excel models, Sketch-up with MS Project as a preference.

Requirements:

  • RIBA III qualified Architect

  • Experience in overseeing Education projects preferably K-12 in the UK but international and US experience would be preferential.

  • Strong technical design ability particularly in the front-end feasibility, concept and space planning stages

  • Good Excel, AutoCad, Adobe and Sketch-up skills, advantageous if you have used MS Project

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability with a proactive and open personality.

This is a great opportunity for a driven Architect who wants to drive their career forward in a fast-paced client-side environment.
