About the Role:

A world-leading international consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join their dynamic team. This hybrid role is based in London, and candidates must be within a commutable distance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the early stages of a newly developed team with a focus on utilities, working on exciting projects such as data centres, battery storage plants, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leading cost management activities for various utility-focused projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
2. Developing and maintaining cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
3. Conducting cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure cost efficiency.
4. Collaborating with project teams to provide cost advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Preparing and presenting cost reports to clients and stakeholders.
6. Managing and mentoring junior cost managers and other team members.
7. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Cost Manager, preferably within the utilities sector.
2. Strong understanding of cost management principles and practices.
3. Experience working on projects such as data centres, battery storage plants, or similar.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
7. Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, AACE) are desirable.
