About the Role:

A world-leading international consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join their dynamic team. This hybrid role is based in London, and candidates must be within a commutable distance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the early stages of a newly developed team with a focus on utilities, working on exciting projects such as data centres, battery storage plants, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading cost management activities for various utility-focused projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Developing and maintaining cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conducting cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure cost efficiency.
• Collaborating with project teams to provide cost advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Preparing and presenting cost reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Managing and mentoring junior cost managers and other team members.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Cost Manager, preferably within the utilities sector.
• Strong understanding of cost management principles and practices.
• Experience working on projects such as data centres, battery storage plants, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, AACE) are desirable.
