Job Description
- Providing legal advice and support on a wide range of legal issues to the firm.
- Supporting the firm in relation to claims or potential claims made against it and relevant lawyers.
- Developing and implementing legal risk management strategies and compliance programs.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts and agreements.
- Ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assisting with corporate governance matters and maintaining corporate records.
- Advising on employment law matters and contributing to the development of HR policies.
- Assisting in the protection of the firm by procuring relevant insurance protection in various areas and liaising with brokers and insurers.
- Conducting training sessions on key legal issues for staff.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Associate General Counsel' should have:
- A qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
- A strong academic background with a degree in law from a reputable university.
- Proven legal experience in a risk and compliance from a law firm.
- Expertise in contract law, corporate law, and employment law.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong negotiation skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
