YOUR ROLE
As an Associate Director, you are here to identify opportunities within Client Accounts for developing, launching and scaling new products, services and in some cases whole new businesses.
You'll be accountable for building and developing clients, typically owning the growth and quality of outcomes for one or two accounts; leading, inspiring and coaching a large co-sourced team, and delivering high impact, purposeful venture outcomes.
You will also have a key role to play in building the growth of the Venture Studio: contributing to the leadership of a dynamic, collaborative and progressive team; creating significant deals that bring together the best of Venture Studio and Accenture; and pushing the quality of how we work together and deliver.
Within this role, you will:
- Manage cross-functional teams across Accenture, harnessing skills and experience from the wider business
- Set the context and direction for the creation of the overall venture proposition and recommendation to the client - know our clients, their markets and competitors inside out, ensuring the work is always cognizant of the client and business context
- Provide a breadth of expertise and experience, offering fresh and relevant perspective and challenges that inspires and guides the account and client
- Consistently set the standard and stretch it to be able to produce world class work, and challenge the team on quality of deliverables
- Be ultimately accountable for project profitability, providing oversight for weekly project commercial meetings with key team members
- Become the go-to partner advisor of clients. You will nurture and grow C-suite relationships for existing and new accounts, provide a trusted voice of experience, authority and insight, and support account teams in the management of relationships and account growth
- Have difficult conversations; flawlessly converting any concerns or issues into deeper relations and trust, set client priorities, anticipate and proactively provide solutions to their problems
- Identify commercial opportunities, whether it is with a current client: extending live projects and negotiating and closing deals, or developing and pursuing ideas for net new business within Accenture accounts
What we love in a candidate:
- Minimum 8+ years of demonstrable professional experience, including 3+ years in leadership with client-facing multi-disciplinary teams. Experience examples include consulting, working in startups or elsewhere in industry
- Experience leading major transformational projects (£1m+) and delivering account growth through selling new work
- Able to build deeply trusted coaching relationships with C-suite clients and partners
- A proactive attitude and growth mindset to think around problems, navigate ambiguity and challenge clients to think differently
- Autonomous leadership and drive to confidently lead highly collaborative teams through complex projects with C-suite level clients, empowering others and growing the leadership of those around you
- Strong strategic thinking with a solid understanding of part or all of the necessary requirements for launching and scaling ventures - eg investment casing, technology build, scalable operations, growth marketing
- World-class execution with an eye for detail and the passion to constantly strive to improve, challenge boundaries and take the work to the next level
