This position is with LaSalle Investment Management's Value-Add Investments team (the "Team"), a specialist business which invests fund capital into pure and structured real estate equity investments across Europe, covering a broad spectrum of asset classes both direct and via strategic relationships with operating partners (across living (residential, student housing, co-living, etc), retail, hospitality, logistics, office conversions, and a variety of other niche sectors).
LaSalle Investment Management is looking to appoint a highly motivated Associate/VP to join our Value-Add Investments team, supporting the Director of Strategic Asset Management in overseeing asset management across Europe. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our value-add business, working collaboratively on a diverse portfolio of real estate investments. The Associate/VP will be involved in all aspects of supporting the growth of the business, from presenting to investors and LaSalle's European IC, through crafting and executing business plans to management of disposals. The role is a hybrid between strategic asset management and operational/financial/reporting.
ROLE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic asset management
- Work closely with Director of Strategic Asset and broader Value-Add Equity and Debt teams
- Oversee the asset management of the individual assets with LaSalle asset management teams or third-party operators and developers
- Support and drive initiatives to set and achieve the decarbonization goals across the portfolio
- Take ownership of the fund reporting and asset-level information compilation including preparation of quarterly asset reviews and monitoring of the portfolio performance, working with the acquisitions deal teams
- Review and update quarterly cashflow models, working with the acquisitions deal teams
- Lead the third-party valuation process for the portfolio
- Contribute to the preparation of IC papers, board recommendations and ad hoc investor presentations
- Contribute to the review of business plans for potential acquisitions
- Help manage deal execution handovers from the acquisition team
- Support the financing/refinancing, restructure, and disposal processes as appropriate
- Team player who is able to work with many different teams across the business and wider firm, dealing with varying personalities and styles

- High level attention to detail, good organization/project management skills and analytical rigor

Fundraising and investment management
- Support wider fundraising efforts by preparing materials and analysis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 years of experience in real estate asset management, portfolio management, or related roles
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Knowledge of European real estate markets and various asset classes
- Familiarity with more complex capital structures
- Must be proficient in Excel financial modelling (i.e. cash flow/DCF models) and experienced in PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
