Audit Quality Senior Manager - Manchester

I am working with a top global accounting firm who are actively seeking an Audit Quality Senior Manager. Although based out of the Manchester office, this role will underpin the quality and robust methodology expected of the firm and carry this forward to influence the standards of the future.

High audit quality is integral to the overall success of the business. It sets the standard with which the firm's audit stream can compete in the market, and as such forms the foundation upon which the firm is built. The firm understands this and has pushed to invest in this function through additional headcount.

This role will sit within the Quality and Methodology team. Responsibilities will largely revolve around:

General responsibilities:

1. Act as a key point of contact for Audit Partners, staff, and senior leadership as a subject matter expert for the firm's methodologies, support material, and technical audit software.
2. Review and address complex technical questions.
3. Review and update technical material for firm policy and guidance.
4. Provide input and assist with the creation of supporting and learning material, to then be delivered to various teams across the firm.
5. Stay abreast of technical standards and regulations.
6. Manage and develop the team to cultivate a collective of technical experts setting the bar for Audit Quality across the firm.

Requirements:

1. ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
2. Comes from an Audit background.
3. Expertise with IFRS and UK GAAP.
4. Experience in a global practice environment managing within a technical or quality audit function.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise across all levels of seniority.
6. Right to work without sponsorship in the UK.
