Description

The Audit Supervisor plays a key role in leading audit engagements, managing teams, and ensuring high-quality audits for clients across various sectors. They work closely with managers and partners to maintain compliance with accounting and auditing standards while mentoring junior team members. The role requires a quality-focused individual who is organised and deadline-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, maintaining high-quality standards.
  2. Ensure audit files contain all necessary documentation, properly organised in the appropriate sections.
  3. Address client queries promptly and professionally, promoting loyalty and trust.
  4. Identify and understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and executing them effectively.
  5. Manage and mentor junior auditors, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
  6. Maintain high standards of audit quality in line with regulatory requirements.
  7. Develop skills and knowledge relevant to a full range of clients and utilise that knowledge to deliver a great service and to develop colleagues.
  8. Support business development by identifying opportunities for additional client services.
  9. Develop own and team members systems knowledge and expertise to improve utilisation.
  10. Communicate challenges, opportunities, and ideas for improvement to Managers to improve working practices.
  11. Deliver the Xeinadin vision and values.
  12. Represent the firm internally and externally in a professional manner through appearance, conduct, and attitude.

Key Requirements

  1. ACA or ACCA qualification.
  2. Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards.
  3. Experience in an audit-focused role within an accountancy practice.

Additional Requirements

  1. Supervisory or leadership experience is desirable.
  2. Excellent communication and client relationship management.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
