Automation Engineer

Automation Engineer - Antwerp Region - Permanent Position

I am partnered with a company that focus on the improvement of existing production processes through automation machinery manufacturing and installation. They are looking for an automation engineer to join a specialist team that focuses on machine building, programming, installation and commissioning of unique machines for their clients.

Responsibilities:

• You integrate the functional analysis of various projects with the programming of PLCs, HMI panels, and SCADA systems.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems, primarily Siemens.
• Develop and maintain HMI applications for monitoring and controlling production processes.
• Conduct system testing, debugging, and commissioning to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to optimise automation solutions for new and existing manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proven experience in PLC programming, preferably in machinery manufacturing or industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens or Rockwell PLCs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Dutch fluency is required for this role.
