Job Description

Band 8a Highly Specialist Neuro / Stroke Speech and Language Therapist Permanent post (30 hrs a week): Are you passionate about delivering outstanding care to patients with neuro and stroke conditions? As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with complex communication needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients.
2. Provide evidence-based interventions to improve communication and swallowing.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
4. Supervise and mentor junior staff and students.
5. Participate in clinical audits and service development initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
2. HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
3. Experience in neuro and stroke rehabilitation.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
