Position Overview

As a Banking and Finance Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality advice and solutions to clients across various sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure, mining, housing, property, financial services, private equity and more. Working closely with partners and colleagues, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise and contribute to the success and growth of the team.

Responsibilities
  • Act for banks, borrowers, and private equity houses on mid-market and investment grade banking matters.
  • Draft and negotiate loan facility, security, intercreditor and ancillary documents.
  • Prepare facility documentation and advise on leveraged acquisition finance transactions.
  • Advise on corporate lending transactions for both lenders and borrowers.
  • Draft and advise on asset-backed/receivables finance and project finance transactions.
  • Manage cross-border transactions, including overseas legal counsel and legal opinions.
  • Advise on ISDA and other hedging and credit support documentation.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas, such as corporate, real estate, pensions and construction.
Requirements
  • England & Wales qualified lawyer with 5-8 years PQE.
  • Clear understanding of the commercial issues involved in finance transactions.
  • Experience in running high-value transactions with minimal partner supervision.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to inspire confidence in clients, partners and peers.
  • Commitment to business development and maintaining client relationships.
