Phoenix Pathology is a multidisciplinary laboratory located in the world-renowned Harley Street in London. The laboratory was established in 2016 and together with UKAS accredited laboratory partners, provides a comprehensive diagnostic service offering routine and specialised tests in all disciplines.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Blood Science Department at our prestigious Laboratory. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a cutting-edge facility, delivering high-quality diagnostic services to our Phoenix Hospital Group patients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialist testing in Haematology, Biochemistry, and Serology.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
  • Adhere to ISO 15189 standards and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in internal and external quality assurance schemes.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to junior staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory and health & safety guidelines.

Qualifications and requirements

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Experience working in a Blood Sciences laboratory (Haematology or Clinical Biochemistry).
  • Experience with Abbott ARCHITECT, SYSMEX and blood cell morphology highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 15189 and laboratory quality management.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
