Role Overview:

As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and developing structures that serve the community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying and preparing for planning and building regulations approval.
  • Crafting specifications for tender, analysing tenders, and issuing reports.
  • Contract Administrator experience is highly desirable.
  • Supporting senior staff in roles under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
  • Project management, including stock condition surveys and energy performance certificates.
  • Assisting in contract administration under various JCT Contracts.
  • Conducting detailed inspections to diagnose defects and recommend remedial work.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Proven experience as a consultant building surveyor.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials and construction types.
  • Expertise in preparing specifications and writing schedules of works.
  • Detailed understanding of planning and building regulations approval processes.
  • Significant site inspection experience.
  • Confidence in attending and chairing progress meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently produce detailed reports.
  • Some experience with party wall services is advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • MRICS qualified or close to completion.
