Business Analyst / Process Analyst - Freelance

For a customer in Belgium, we are looking for a Business Analyst / Process Analyst with strong process modeling and business analysis skills to join on a long-term, freelance basis. The role will focus on the customer's digital transformation, supporting the energy transition, and improving business processes within a sustainable and green energy infrastructure.

The customer, a leading European transmission system operator, is working to enhance its efficiency and quality, supporting renewable energy integration and the nuclear phase-out. This role will involve harmonizing processes across departments and between the customer and its German sister company.

Responsibilities:

• Model business processes and assist in redesigning processes to meet the customer's business needs.
• Challenge business stakeholders regarding their needs and define optimized to-be processes.
• Harmonize business processes across the customer and its German sister company.
• Capture business requirements and translate them into actionable epics, features, and user stories.
• Develop business information models, including interfaces, screens, and reports.
• Coordinate and validate requirements between business and IT stakeholders.
• Validate functional analysis and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Support testing and validation of tool releases post-implementation, including UAT.
• Contribute to change management, including creating training materials and providing end-user training.
• Provide post-implementation support for business users.

Profile:

• Master's degree in a technical or economic field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a business or process analyst, with a focus on business process modeling and requirements gathering.
• Strong proficiency in BPMN and UML.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architect, Jira, and DevOps is a plus.
• Experience in the energy sector is an added advantage.
• Fluency in English, with strong proficiency in Dutch or French (spoken and written).
