Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst

Location: London or Leeds

We are seeking talented Business Analysts at all levels that are interested in joining QBE International on our modernisation journey. Your New Role
  • Engage and communicate effectively with business stakeholders, business owners, project managers, and solution architects to conduct analysis and ensure deliverables meet the business needs.

  • Deliver, and where appropriate ensure delivery of, analysis documentation to an expected standard. Prioritise workload and balance/escalate conflicting demands to ensure agreed deadlines are achieved.

  • Plan analysis activities, develop and gain agreement to detailed work breakdown plans to ensure delivery against agreed timescales.

  • Assist in the development of project plans and budgets. Manage, plan and execute analysis activities to ensure completion against project objectives and timescale.

  • Work with the business and the business partnering team to analyse perceived business problems or opportunities to assess business need, challenge the business where necessary and deliver high-level requirements.

  • Contribute to high-level design documentation, which outlines the potential solution for the business. Work with other disciplines within IT to ensure that any such solution is aligned to both business and IT strategy.

  • Conform to all agreed and active standards, policies, processes and procedures to ensure appropriate methods and approaches are adopted.

  • Provide support for the resolution of business problems, evaluate potential change, identify implications, and recommend solutions.

About You
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to prioritise and balance multiple tasks or projects.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, agile, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to define business analysis approach for complex programs/projects.

  • Ability to effectively critique business analysis and project documents.

  • Ability to engage with Business and IT colleagues to accurately convey and resolve issues found during analysis in a well-reasoned fashion.

  • Ability to challenge constructively on requirements or assumptions whilst maintaining positive and professional relationships.

  • Impartiality - accurately reflects facts. Always maintains an objective & balanced view.

  • Proactive - looks ahead for potential problems and takes preventative or mitigating action in advance.

  • Ability to understand, capture and document requirements in a structured and efficient manner.

  • Ability to create specifications/requirement documents suitable for use by architects, developers, and testers.
