Business Analyst (permanent position)

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Brussels.
Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from the client, analyze them, and translate them into clear and concise user stories;
• Act as an internal consultant to translate business questions into insights;
• Define an "action plan" to deliver user stories by helping the team to break down user stories into tasks;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements;
• Participate in planning, support, and execution of software development projects;
• Initiate and follow up projects under the close supervision of the Project Leader/Project Manager to ensure that a smooth execution of projects can be guaranteed;
• Validate newly developed systems to ensure that a successful implementation is possible in agreement with the set criteria of the (internal) customer;
• Review and perform root cause analysis of data errors and provide short-term and long-term solutions for issues;
• Participate in user acceptance testing and provide feedback to development teams;
• Resolve roadblocks to maximize team impact;
• Provide direct client support and anticipate client's needs;
• Communicate progress and status of projects to stakeholders and management;
• Prepare and deliver presentations and reports

Requirements and skills:

• Fluent (written and spoken) in Dutch, French and English
• Strong problem-solving and business judgment skills;
• Excellent analytical capabilities including the ability to research;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL;
• Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall);
