IT Service Continuity Manager - Manchester - 3 Month Contract - £500-£600/day Inside IR35 (Via Umbrella)

Overview:
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a contract IT Service Continuity Manager to join a leading organisation on a 3-month basis. This is a critical role designed to strengthen the business's resilience by leading continuity planning, executing service recovery exercises, and managing risk to IT services.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Own and maintain the IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) process and plans.
2. Regularly review and update continuity and risk documentation.
3. Develop and execute an annual business continuity and disaster recovery exercise schedule.
4. Perform end-to-end failover testing and recovery assurance.
5. Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure recovery readiness and contractual compliance.
6. Identify, govern, and manage business continuity and ITSC-related risks.
7. Support the major incident and problem management processes.
8. Produce regular status and risk reports, and lead governance meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
9. Collaborate with technical architects, delivery managers, risk managers, and project teams.
10. Identify opportunities to enhance business continuity efficiency and effectiveness.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

1. ITIL Certification (mandatory).
2. Proven track record in IT Service Continuity Management.
3. Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and operational service functions.
4. Accreditation or experience with ISO22301, ISO27001, and ISO31000.
5. Experience with ServiceNow.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
7. Ability to identify key risks, present findings clearly, and manage mitigation.
