Business and Data Analyst - Banking Client - Brussels
Rate: 500 - 800 per day
Duration: 12 month contract - will be extended
Hybrid: 4 days in Brussels per month the rest is remote (Mandatory)
UK contractors: Must use Umbrella
As Business and Data Analyst for the "IdAM 2.0 Programme - Data Cluster" you will work closely with the Lead Data Architect & Lead Data Engineer working across multiple delivery Epics that are focused on designing, developing, testing and launching data related features that support the entire IdAM 2.0 solution (eg Identity Data Fabric). You will undertake data analysis to identify the existing golden sources of data, primary and foreign keys that enable data to be joined together to give meaning in an IAM context.
It will be necessary to understand what data must be moved via ETL and how integrity, consistency, simplicity, automation and timeliness can best be achieved. Key data attributes must be mapped in the enterprise data dictionary tool, Collibra, which you will facilitate.
You will also own the creation of Business Requirements as part of any new applications as well as understanding how to best integrated with Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and/or SaaS (Software as a Service) applications. To achieve this, you will be in contact with various Business stakeholders from IdAM Tribe.
As and when new data becomes available and stable, you will also design, build & test dashboards to present meaningful KPIs, KRIs and metrics on PowerBI.
Your role involves working closely with colleagues in different domains (and may include external suppliers) to obtain the requirements so that you can design the optimal, secure solutions. A security focus with an understanding of the challenges our internal customers face, as well as a positive problem solving and an analytical mindset are your strongest skills.
You will be expected to document the solutions and obtain sign-off from reviewers while addressing all the concerns.
Under the direction of the Lead Data Architect, you will build the solution in our test environment(s) and ensure the solution goes through all the formal testing stages with our internal customers to obtain sign-offs.
Once tested and signed-off, you will perform handovers with the IAM Infrastructure Operations team, which may include performing training, knowledge sharing, provision of a "cookbook" to enable them to run and operate the solution you have helped test and launch. This will also include supporting the migration to Production Infrastructure providing warranty support (bug fixes, change requests etc).
Whilst the role is initially up to 12 months, there is the opportunity to extend and work as a Data Analyst on a wider IAM regulatory programme which has a multi-year timescale.
In addition to the role you are expected to:
. Identify security risks and exposures during the analysis and how the design mitigate these risks. It maybe possible you identify security risks which are not in-scope, however you will be expected to call these out to ensure they are recognised to senior stakeholders who can then take action.
. Consider the impact on processes and controls based on the solution designed and design with automation in mind.
. Make recommendations for changes and may implement agreed enhancements.
. Always look for solutions, rather than just call out the problems.
. Work along side other projects that have dependencies on or to the PTA Inventory
. Recognise that is a regulated financial institution and as such your conduct must align with the compliance needs.
