About the roleAs a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for developing robust new business strategies and consistent opportunity pipelines. Day to day, you will articulate the value of experience innovation and digital transformation to potential clients. You'll be skilled at translating trends and technical concepts to C-level executives so that they understand and value them. It is your responsibility to build, grow, and nurture a steady pipeline of opportunities through the creation of new prospective client relationships as well as leveraging existing relationships within your extensive network. You will confidently drive the creation, development, negotiation, and closing of enterprise-size deals whilst remaining customer-centric and collaborative across the team and the wider organization to help our customers achieve their business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Identify new opportunities and potential clients to grow the Valtech business.
- Analyze market trends across a range of focused vertical markets and keep up with industry trends, market demands, and competitor strategies.
- Develop and implement business strategies to increase the company's competitive advantage.
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors through various channels and strategies.
- Evaluate partnerships by working closely with the Partnerships and Alliances team to assess existing partnerships and sales efforts to identify new opportunities.
- Manage key client relationships and work to build new ones.
- Represent the organization in pitches with C-level and executive-level customer stakeholders as well as attend customer meetings.
- Utilize previous experience in the digital consultancy world to sell a broad range of digital expertise.
- Navigate complex negotiations successfully.
- Apply various sales methodologies and techniques to remove blockers and move opportunities along.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork capabilities, especially when working on RFPs/RFIs and pitches.
- Exhibit excellent time, planning, and project management skills to keep yourself and collaborators organized and focused.
- Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, engaging listeners and conveying complex information accessibly.
- Show resilience, attention to detail, and a commitment to problem solving, with creativity and innovative thinking.
- Work independently as well as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
- Show evidence of strong networking, relationship building, and business acquisition skills.
