Calibrationhouse Service Product Development Lead

Location Job Purpose

This role is responsible for on-site and laboratory test and calibration on a wide range of test and measurement equipment from numerous metrological disciplines on customers premises in the UK and overseas (when required), following documented procedure to carry out the role. Having the knowledge of specifications and measuring units and able to discuss technical issues with customers and liaise with repair staff regarding faulty items. This role is crucial to the resilience, contingency planning and ambitious growth aspirations of Calibrationhouse.

Responsibilities
  1. To source and understand equipment specifications when necessary
  2. To identify and share ways of improving test techniques and increasing parameters.
  3. To provide the administration team with timely data
  4. To always maintain a professional attitude
  5. To work flexibly to meet customers' requirements
  6. To always keep a tidy and well-ordered environment
  7. Obtain product specifications and maintain a suitable library of product specifications
  8. Calibrate a wide range of multi-parameter test equipment from a range of industry sectors
  9. Provide certificate details when calibration is complete
  10. Enter data correctly and update the on-site job system
  11. Ensure customers' requirements are met
  12. Display a professional attitude when in front of customers
  13. Synchronise data within designated timescales
  14. Accurately recording personal activity against KPI's.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
  1. HNC in electrical/electronics minimum or a similar discipline or demonstrable qualification through experience
  2. Experience within the instrumentation industry or previous calibration experience in an electrical/electronic role.
  3. Able to work efficiently to complete calibrations within the allotted time frame to minimize downtime for equipment whilst ensuring calibrations meet regulatory requirements & standards.
  4. Ability to maintain good relationships with clients through clear communication and quality service
  5. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  6. Sound mathematical knowledge.
  7. Knowledge of quality standards/systems
  8. Good interpersonal skills.
  9. Self-starter with tenacity and drive.
  10. Accurate recording of personal activity against KPI's.
