Job overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Cardiac Physiology Non-Invasive Services Lead at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We seek a clinically expert, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary department.
Our team performs the full range of cardiac diagnostic tests, including Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET), Nuclear Cardiology procedures, exercise tolerance testing, and event monitor analysis across two hospital sites in Oxford and Banbury, as well as in community settings.
This role is ideal for a current Band 7 seeking to develop leadership and management skills and gain experience in service development.
Main duties of the jobWorking with the Head of Cardiac Physiology, the post holder will assist in managing all Cardiac Physiology Non-Invasive and Nuclear Cardiology services.
The post holder will support the delivery of high-quality, efficient patient care and supervise, guide, and support staff in their roles within the department.
The post holder is expected to work as an independent practitioner and participate in training and appraisals of junior staff.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesTo lead the management and development of the Cardiac Physiology Non-Invasive Services for OUHFT, collaborating with CSU Leads and the Head of Cardiac Physiology.
Independently deliver procedures and oversee training and development of staff to ensure excellent patient care.
Work collaboratively with leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and operational management.
Be accessible and provide leadership, direction, and vision for the service.
Assist in meeting the objectives within the Directorate strategy.
Manage the service budget, ensure government targets are met, and supervise the Cardiac Physiology MDT.
Person specification- BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent
- Extensive experience in cardiac diagnostics and investigations
- Proven leadership and development experience at a senior level
- Management experience including HR, finance, and clinical governance
- Innovative work within the field
- Effective liaison skills internally and externally
- Masters or PhD expected or in progress; managerial qualification preferred
- Membership of a professional group
