Do you have experience in managing quotes, pricing or procurement to help increase the air & ocean quotation successes and shipment volumes, based on a price to win attitude? If so, come and join our Regional Pricing Team. Location can be flexible across the EMEA region, as long as we have an OIA office in your home country.
You will respond to requests from OIA branches, OIA Sales Teams, OIA Network Agents, Customer platforms or RFQ & Tender opportunities, to deliver optimal pricing results through maintaining supplier relationships, origin & destination relationships and pathways for shared regional procurement. You will provide focused and dedicated attention for all pricing opportunities and provide solutions and quotations that are aimed at winning and maintaining business.
The ability to maintain & grow strong collaborative and reporting relationships with all stakeholders including, but not limited to, operational and commercial colleagues; suppliers; Product Owners and Regional Managers will be essential in this role.
This role would suit someone with a flair for entrepreneurial imagination, who wants to progress their career with a new and exciting challenge.
You will be responsible for:
Operations
- Creating a high energy working environment with a can-win attitude.
- Ensuring that all quotations are communicated seamlessly across all stakeholders and recorded in CW1 for shared accessibility, recording & reporting.
- Coordinating complex, regional and local pricing to achieve fast turnaround times and 100% response KPI's.
- Liaising with product experts to ensure logic used in pricing processes results in appropriately calculated cost and profit.
- Undertaking regular meetings with suppliers to maintain & develop relationships and help to drive stronger price returns.
- Negotiating design, develop and implement pricing agreements that locks a country into delivering set price structures and service standards.
- Effectively negotiating and drive rate reductions to ensure that OIA commercial teams are armed with effective selling rates to win business.
- Ensuring compliance with existing Quality systems (AEO, ISO etc).
Sales, Marketing & Business Development
- Maintaining a high standard of credibility and representation for the OIA brand.
- Maintaining awareness of forwarding and logistics markets- including key customers and competition in local area & wider region.
- Developing new pricing tools, processes and systems which enhance the bidding activity to increase efficiency & effectiveness of the win ratio.
- Working to expand our market presence and ensure OIA is perceived as a credible and key forwarder.
- Communicating wins & losses with the Branch Manager, Sales Owner & Product Enablers to continually review and adjust trade lanes, routes and solutions.
Customer Service
- Ensuring that colleagues are equipped to deliver an excellent customer experience that is consistent across the team, region and products.
- Optimising every opportunity to help the customer and expand our customer share of the wallet.
- Understanding customer requirements thoroughly to find creative solutions.
- Being proactive when faced with challenges and using the full support of OIA stakeholders.
People
- Ensuring that excellent relationships are nurtured and maintained with fellow colleagues both at local branch level, regionally & globally.
- Receiving constructive feedback, advice and challenge from stakeholders to continually improve and increase OIA's service offerings & success with customers.
- Contributing positively to group initiatives and activities - including but not limited to Product Developments; Margin Management; Growth Levers and Stakeholder meetings and reporting.
Measurements of Success
- Providing Quote & conversion reporting with demonstrable, trending improvement.
- Providing Solution Design.
- Consistently meeting quotation deadlines.
- Representing the Pricing Department in management discussions to effectively communicate areas of service level performance and identify areas that need attention to develop solutions that will increase company successes.
- Showing evidence of Growth & conversion across the region with constant analysis and challenge of results:
- Increase in quote throughput
- Quote win ratio
- Quote conversion ratio
- Improvement in pending quote status change
- Overall volume Growth trend (# of TEU & Kgs & GP)
What we need from you:
- To be proactive when faced with problems.
- Previous experience working in a procurement or Product Specialist capacity within freight forwarding.
- Demonstrable ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
- As we are a US-based Company with the Regional Headquarters in London, England, you must be fluent in both written and spoken English as well as the ability to speak the local language.
