Job Title - Cataract Surgeon

Location - Chelmsford

Salary - £175,000 OTE

ACES is an independent provider of NHS eye care outpatient and surgical services that are delivered in the community. Working with state-of-the-art technologies we support the NHS, providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care. We provide a range of services including Cataract, YAG and SLT Laser Treatment, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, Vitreoretinal and General Ophthalmology.

Due to expansion, ACES have an exciting new opportunities for Surgeons who specialise in Cataract surgery to join our amazing and supportive team in our Chelmsford clinic. This is a great opportunity to join a growing and developing business and benefit from our fantastic fully funded training and development programs.

You will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working alongside a range of sub-specialists, providing timely care to patients. Roles include carrying out virtual and general outpatient, pre-operative and post-operative cataract consultations, assess the suitability of patients for surgery and managing patients according to group clinical directives and national policies.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a consultant ophthalmologist.
• Fully GMC registered
• Be on Specialist register
• Be articulate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be confident and organised.
• Be happy to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
