About You:

In this pivotal role, you'll be more than just a buyer; you'll be a key player in shaping the future of our UK&I business. You'll drive strategic procurement, master supplier management, and bring a commercial mindset to the table across multiple Corporate Services categories. What You'll Do:

  • Be a Strategic Force: Develop and execute category strategies across the UK&I Region, focusing on effective sourcing, cost and risk management, visibility and controls, and supplier performance.
  • Influence & Negotiate: Use your confident communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels, from senior leaders to requisitioners. You'll also flex your negotiation skills, making sound decisions even under pressure.
  • Be a Market Expert: Stay ahead of the curve by understanding industry and market trends and changing legislation.
  • Collaborate & Deliver: Work both independently and collaboratively to manage multiple projects and stakeholder demands effectively.
  • Be the Category Guru: Act as the procurement expert for your category, providing valuable knowledge, expertise, and support to other regions when needed.
  • Supplier Relationships: Own and nurture key strategic supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.
  • Drive Performance: Develop and maintain high-quality performance plans and scorecards, implement performance management frameworks, and proactively manage supplier performance to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Manage Risk: Identify, manage, and escalate supply chain risks through our procurement risk register and governance processes.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in procurement and supplier relationship management.
  • Commercial Acumen: A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and implement new opportunities.
  • Category Knowledge: Knowledge of several Corporate Services categories.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Attention to detail and strong data analysis and insight development skills.
  • A Proactive Approach: A collaborative working style with a focus on proactive supplier management and innovation.

Bonus Points:

  • Formal purchasing qualification.
  • Previous experience managing large supplier relationships.
  • Confidence in challenging others while maintaining and building strong professional relationships.

The Perks:

  • Location: Flexibility to work from home in the United Kingdom, with occasional travel to on-site locations and our London head office.
