An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the team supporting the opening and running of one of our new community diagnostic centres based at Thurrock Community Hospital site.

Your role, alongside your colleagues, will be to take responsibility for ensuring robust systems are in place for the management and co-ordination of CDC services. Services at the centre will include radiology, phlebotomy, echo-cardiology, and ultrasound.

As an integral member of the team, you will provide leadership to the Radiology Admin & Clerical team who will deliver reception services in addition to monitoring the operational effectiveness of the CDC, contributing to the day-to-day escalation management as required.

Main duties of the job
  1. Communication with senior operational management team regarding the services' performance and trends as measured against communicated standards.
  2. Responsible for maintaining the Trust's good relationships with external agencies including GP's and other referrers.
  3. Escalate appropriately the needs of the Community Diagnostic Centre services to facilitate efficient service flow.
  4. Provide the final escalation point for staff dealing with distressed and upset patients following Radiology experiences. Provide advice and guidance to junior staff in the management of such contacts.
  5. Use a variety of approaches in liaising with users and clients to gain the best outcome for the service in line with objectives. May be required to communicate unwelcome information to distressed patients/their families.
  6. Responsible for disseminating data/information to Senior Management Team which may influence decision making.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Degree in Admin / Project Management or equivalent experience
  • ECDL or equivalent experience

Salary: £29,970 a year (Per Annum, Pro Rata for Part Time)
