Job Overview
As a Change Manager in Clifford Chance's Applied Behavioural Science Hub, you will design and deliver targeted behaviour change initiatives across the firm in alignment with our global priorities, including (but not limited to) Data and AI.
Guided by behavioural science and proven change management methodologies, you will ensure that people-centred change is successfully delivered, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
In this role, you will build strong alignment across delivery teams, stakeholders, and leadership to cultivate engagement at all levels. Your work will align to the firm's global priorities, spanning data, AI, and broader strategic initiatives, delivering meaningful adoption and sustainable impact.
The candidate will need experience in delivering global and targeted behaviour change projects / workstreams, with some experience working across technology, AI and/or data transformations.
Who you will work with
You will be part of the global Change Management function, reporting to the Senior Change Lead - Applied Behavioural Science. You will engage with other senior change leads working on major change initiatives within Clifford Chance in order to ensure alignment and to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and collective excellence.
In addition, you will partner closely with diverse stakeholders, including partners, legal teams, and business professionals, across different regions and offices to build understanding of, and advocacy for, the change within these communities.
As part of the Global Change Management function you will help build change capability and a change mindset across the firm and will embed and evolve the firm's Transformation Framework through the projects that you deliver.
What you will be responsible for
You will work with the Change Lead to design and deliver change strategies and plans that deliver business outcomes, drive positive sentiment, and ultimately deliver high-levels of behaviour adoption across a range of projects / workstreams.
Shape and Implement Change Strategies
- Develop and execute change plans that incorporate behavioural science principles to shift mindsets, reduce resistance, and foster adoption of target behaviours, new ways of working, and/or technology
- Advise on potential risks, resistance, and opportunities, proactively designing interventions that address issues and contribute to a high-performance culture
- Contribute to the evolution of the firm-wide change management methodology and actively participate in the Community of Practice
Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment
- Engage leadership and key stakeholders across the firm to ensure a consistent application of our behaviour adoption approach
- Act as a trusted advisor, embedding and sustaining change across major workstreams and strategic initiatives
- Ensure alignment with other change initiatives at Clifford Chance
What you will do
Deliver Targeted Behaviour Change Initiatives
Design and deliver complex change projects / workstreams following our behaviour adoption approach as applicable, including:
- Conducting current state assessments to gather and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to diagnose cultural risks, and identify root causes of resistance
- Designing and developing interventions for sustainable behavioural change, often requiring co-creation with cross-functional teams
- Piloting and refining these interventions (e.g., through A/B testing) before scaling across teams, functions, or geographies
Monitor and Report on Behaviour Maturity
- Develop and maintain dashboards or frameworks to measure progress in culture, engagement, and behaviour adoption
- Provide insights and recommendations to project teams, using data to demonstrate the tangible outcomes of change efforts
Qualifications
Your experience
- Demonstrable success in delivering change projects or workstreams with a strong behavioural focus and / or people-centered change
- Strong understanding of applying behavioural science insights in the workplace and change management frameworks
- Proven capability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in complex, collaborative environments
- Experience working in a global, matrixed context, ideally within professional services or legal firms
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills; able to articulate complex ideas to varied audiences
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to consider strategic alignment with a predisposition to practical execution
- Adaptability and resilience when navigating ambiguity, consistently focusing on outcomes and value
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively with limited guidance, demonstrating attention to detail and analytical capabilities
- Experience in reporting and providing updates to senior leadership and project teams
- Demonstrable experience of working as part of a broader programme or project team on large-scale business transformations, exhibiting effective collaboration.

Hybrid Working
This role follows our 'balanced' hybrid working approach and as long as business needs allow, you will be supported to work in a hybrid way with the expectation of working from the office for a minimum of 50% of your time.
You will work from our Canary Wharf office in London. Limited travel is expected as part of the role.
