The Role

INNOVERV is seeking a CFO, who will be a key member of the executive team, owning the financial strategy, operations, compliance, and governance across multiple geographies. This is a hands-on leadership role presiding over a finance team of 1 or 2 individuals where the CFO is expected to be operational himself/herself on a daily basis.

You will bring a deep understanding of the scale-up boutique consulting of a double-digit revenue base, team of circa 200-300 globally spread consultants working in client project-based environments. Knowledge of commercial finance in the IT-based consulting model is essential, including billing and collections in foreign currency and dealing with procurement functions of Fortune 500 clients.

INNOVERV has already engaged CA and tax advisory firms in both India and the UK and has a separate outsourced payroll provider. The role is expected to work in this ecosystem and produce the necessary MIS for financial closing operations and period forecasts working with the management team.

Key Skills

• Strategic financial planning and analytical acumen
• Strong command over IFRS, GAAP, and cross-border compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
• Deep understanding of startup finance, venture funding, and scaling operations
• Proficiency with financial software, ERP tools (for SMEs like Zero and Tally), and dashboards
• Ability to manage ambiguity and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
• Strong business partnering and decision support capabilities
• Basic Treasury protocols and functions
• Understanding of tax compliance in India, UK, and US

Preferred

• Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-changing environment as the business grows in different territories
• Exposure to transfer pricing, entity structuring, or cross-border invoicing

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global financial strategy aligned with INNOVERV's growth ambitions.
• Oversee financial operations in India, UK, and US-ensuring compliance with local regulations and tax laws.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital management.
• Implement and optimize financial systems, controls, and processes suitable for a scaling startup.
• Support pricing strategy, project profitability analysis, and client contract structuring.
• Partner with leadership to guide strategic initiatives, including global expansion, M&A, or fundraising activities.
• Manage investor relations and reporting (as applicable).
• Build and lead a global finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.

Your Profile

• Proven experience as CFO or senior finance leader in a fast-scaling startup or consulting/SaaS environment
• Deep expertise in the IT consulting services industry and associated business models (project-based accounting, contract to cash processes, multi-territory accounting compliance - UK, US, and India)
• Strong understanding of international finance, tax structures, and cross-border compliance (India, UK, and US)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; CA, CPA, or MBA preferred
• Build and run a small core finance team being hands-on yourself and take an agile learning attitude to new jurisdictions as INNOVERV grows
• Hands-on experience setting up finance functions, financial models, and dashboards
• Must have experience with professional services or SAP/IT consulting firms is a big plus
