Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Childcare Solicitor, you will:

  • Independently manage a caseload of complex childcare-related matters (family law is handled separately)
  • Provide expert legal advice and skilled representation in childcare proceedings, including:
    • Parental Responsibility Orders
    • Contact Orders
    • Interim Care and Supervision Orders
  • Advise on key areas such as:
    • Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings with authorities
    • Child Protection issues and safeguarding
    • Section 20 accommodation in foster care
    • Children's services involvement and assessments
  • Collaborate with additional specialists to ensure the best outcomes for clients
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years' experience in childcare law
  • Strong ability to manage your own caseload and conduct advocacy
  • Proficiency in all stages of childcare proceedings, including PLOs and child protection matters
  • A passion for advocating for children and their families during challenging times
