Salary: £40,000 - £52,000

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Location: South West London

Overview:

Our client is actively looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer with 3/4 years worth of experience to support a very healthy and growing pipeline of work. The work will be typically related to rail civil and drainage projects. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing business that will be able to match an ambitious engineer's future aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design concrete and steel structures using engineering software and manual calculations.
• Carry out AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage designs as required.
• Prepare detailed design documentation.
• Conduct site visits.
• Lead smaller projects as a project manager.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a design consultancy.
• Experience of monitoring compliance with design, statutory professional requirements.
• Ability to represent the company on site visits/surveys (sometimes in unsociable hours) in a professional manner.

Desirable:

• A Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE or IStructE) or near chartered.
• Experience of effective financial management and control of projects.
• Having a current clean UK driving license for travel throughout the UK to visit sites and carry out inspections from time to time would be an advantage.
