Job Details:
We are seeking talented and passionate C++/Java developers to join our Seismic Survey Planning and Simulation team. The successful candidate will be based in the UK and collaborate closely with our development team in Denver, Colorado.
What are we looking for?
Successful candidates will have experience in the following areas:
At least 5 years commercial experience using:
C++ (v11+), Java (ideally candidates will have experience of both)
Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) Library
Development of desktop applications for Windows
Visual Studio
At least 3 years working at a senior level
Excellent analytical skills and systematic approach to problem solving and solution development
Excellent communication skills are essential with an ability to articulate high level business requirements to low level technical details to a varied audience
Self-motivated, highly organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
BSc Computer Science or similar engineering discipline
What would really help?
Background with scientific applications
Experience with GIS, mapping applications, map projections and geodetics
Familiarity with geophysics and seismic exploration
Experience of working with remote teams
Experience of Azure DevOps, Unit and Automated testing, CI / CD Pipelines
Experience of working in an Agile environment, specifically Scrum teams
