Job overviewCandidates are invited to apply for our new and exciting post aimed at senior trainees/post-CCT doctors in Anaesthesia/Critical Care. Our objective is to develop future leaders in this important emerging field. We offer a one-year fixed term contract (a six-month contract could be considered).
Main duties of the jobThe objective of the post will be to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge in the care of patients contemplating, undergoing, and recovering from major surgery. We anticipate successful candidates will be the future leaders of perioperative care, an emerging sub-specialty of Anaesthesia & Critical Care Medicine.

Person specification Knowledge and Qualifications- MBBS or equivalent
- Final FRCA or equivalent anaesthetic qualification
- Current GMC registration
- Entry onto the Specialist register for Anaesthesia/Critical Care
- Advanced Life Support Qualification
- 6 months previous Critical Care experience
- Flexible approach to work
- Evidence of team working
- I.T. literate
- Evidence of leadership role
- Evidence of participation in research
