The Position:

We are seeking a full-time Bilingual Clinical Psychologist for our Palmdale site. This position is primarily responsible for delivering mental health treatment services to children and adolescents within designated programs. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team - including psychiatrists, case managers, and other professionals - this role collaborates to provide holistic, person-centered care.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and testing as assigned, providing feedback to the multidisciplinary team to inform treatment decisions.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions to an assigned caseload.
  • Provide a broad spectrum of treatment services, including intakes, assessments, ongoing treatment planning, and discharge planning.
  • Offer field-based services as needed, which may involve meeting clients at their homes or other community locations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, regularly monitoring and evaluating client progress.
  • Be available to manage client crises and symptoms, including during non-business hours, and participate in agency-wide on-call rotations.
  • Engage caregivers in the treatment process through collateral sessions, family therapy, parent education programs, and family support groups.
  • Meet performance expectations for billable hours as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Complete all required documentation in compliance with Agency policies, HIPAA guidelines, and funder standards within established timelines.
  • Participate in supervision, meetings, and training sessions related to position responsibilities, including evidence-based practices, booster sessions, and consultations as assigned.
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours), Monday - Friday, 2 evenings per week until 8:00pm are required.
  • This position is fully onsite for the first four months. Potential for hybrid work options based on performance.
  • Waivered Psychologist: $78,000
  • Licensed Psychologist: $80,000 - $85,000
  • Additional years of experience will be considered as well.
  • $3,000 differential available for bilingual Spanish-English proficiency (must pass Spanish Proficiency Assessment to qualify).

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
  • Must have experience conducting psychological testing.
  • Relevant experience in providing direct mental health services to children and adolescents, including work or internship experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with highly traumatized children and families, managing high-risk situations and volatile family dynamics.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in delivering culturally competent services, with a commitment to inclusivity and sensitivity.
  • Demonstrates excellent collaboration skills, working professionally with a multidisciplinary treatment team, and ability to work independently while seeking supervision when needed.
  • Strong organizational skills, dependability, and a proactive approach to work, with effective time management, flexibility, and punctuality in meeting deadlines, appointments, and meetings.
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. Must be eligible to register as a waivered or licensed psychologist with the Board of Psychology.
