A residential service in East Lancashire invites applications for a part-time or full-time Clinical Psychologist to join their dedicated team. This opportunity welcomes both newly qualified and experienced professionals (Consultant level), eager to contribute their expertise to a supportive and collaborative environment. About the Role

This multidisciplinary service utilizes an attachment and trauma-informed approach, providing comprehensive assessment, stabilization, treatment, and intervention for children and young people facing complex mental health challenges. The overarching goal is to foster recovery, well-being, and independence for each individual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments, emphasizing attachment and neurobiological development within the context of childhood trauma.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, adhering to established clinical governance structures and protocols.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans addressing emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Implement diverse psychological interventions, adapting and refining approaches as needed.
  • Provide expert consultation to colleagues, contributing to client formulation, diagnosis, and treatment strategies.
  • Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and contribute to policy development.
  • Maintain sensitive and effective communication with clients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
  • Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan is highly valued.
  • Proven expertise in evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • A strong commitment to ethical and client-centered practices.
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload efficiently and independently.
