About the RoleThis multidisciplinary service utilizes an attachment and trauma-informed approach, providing comprehensive assessment, stabilization, treatment, and intervention for children and young people facing complex mental health challenges. The overarching goal is to foster recovery, well-being, and independence for each individual.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychological assessments, emphasizing attachment and neurobiological development within the context of childhood trauma.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, adhering to established clinical governance structures and protocols.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans addressing emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Implement diverse psychological interventions, adapting and refining approaches as needed.
- Provide expert consultation to colleagues, contributing to client formulation, diagnosis, and treatment strategies.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and contribute to policy development.
- Maintain sensitive and effective communication with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan is highly valued.
- Proven expertise in evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- A strong commitment to ethical and client-centered practices.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload efficiently and independently.
