Clinical Research Nurse

Permanent contract, ideally full-time but part-time applicants will be considered.

Hours of work: A combination of office hours and weekends on a rotational basis, based at Southampton General Hospital.

Skills and experience:

• A qualified Nurse, a registration with no limitations to practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• 3+ years experience as a Research Nurse working on clinical trials and non-interventional studies, preferably with a primary focus on respiratory and infectious diseases.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting and supporting the nurse team in providing high standards of nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses and ICH GCP.
• To take responsibility for the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials and tasks allocated by the nurse manager.
• To be able to work autonomously, remotely and as part of the nursing team.
• Conducting study visits in accordance with study protocols.
• To be able to work to and meet deadlines, possess effective time management whilst also being flexible to the clinical trial requirements.
• To be aware of, and work towards meeting the clinical team's objectives.

The successful candidates must be flexible and have good organisational, communication and IT skills. We are looking for team players who also can work unsupervised.
