Cloud Security Engineer (DV Security Clearance), £475-500 per day, Inside IR35, 12 Month Contract, Bath (Remote/Hybrid)

Contract role for a Junior Cloud Security Architect or Cloud Security Engineer looking do some architecture. You will need to have current and Live Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance.

The role as the Junior Cloud Architect role involves working within Agile teams to deliver and maintain cloud platforms for the UK Public sector's critical infrastructure. The focus is on ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and efficiency, adhering to government standards.

You will need to be experienced and likely have cloud security qualifications in Azure or AWS, experience as a cloud security architect or engineer and be able to work as a team and work with other architects and cloud professionals.

The role involves interacting with security stakeholders across Defence and other government departments, supporting security leads in planning and assurance for Tier 2 hyperscale cloud procurement, and assisting with security assurance for Secret Cloud. You will produce and review security documentation, ensure alignment with MoD JSP publications and the Defence Cyber Security Framework, and support relevant forums and design boards. Additionally, the role includes assisting with the development of security assurance plans, security patterns for the cloud platform, and security architectures for on-premises Tier 2 cloud systems.

The position also requires collaborating with product owners and architects to ensure designs align with customer and business goals, monitoring new features to assess their operational impact, and driving continuous service improvement. You will ensure strict adherence to Identity and Access Management controls while creating and maintaining documentation for support processes and issue resolutions.

This is an initial 12 month contract, inside IR35 with hybrid working (1 day per week near Bath, with the ad-hoc requirement of 2-3 days per week).
