Key Responsibilities

1. Support customers with big data services including Apache Spark, Hive, Presto, and other Hadoop ecosystem components
2. Develop and share technical solutions through various communication channels
3. Contribute to improving support processes and customer experience
4. Participate in mentoring and knowledge sharing initiatives
5. Collaborate on automation and optimization projects

Schedule Note: This role follows a flexible 5-day work week schedule, which may include weekends on rotation.

Minimum Requirements

1. Good depth of understanding in Hadoop Administration, support and troubleshooting (Any two applications: Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Presto, Map-Reduce, Zookeeper, HBASE, HDFS and Pig.)
2. Good understanding of Linux and Networking concepts
3. Intermediate programming/scripting skills. Ideally in Java or Python, but will consider experience in other Object Oriented and Functional languages.
4. Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
5. Good understanding of distributed computing environments
6. Prior working experience with AWS - any or all of EC2, S3, EBS, EMR
