Colorectal Surgical Ward Nurse - Day shift

We are looking for experienced ward nurses to join a Post-Operative Surgical Ward caring for patients recovering from major colorectal and upper GI surgery.

Main duties of the job

1. Infection Prevention & Sepsis Awareness

Job responsibilities

• Managing patients post-major abdominal, colorectal, or upper GI surgery. Candidates must be proficient in handling epidurals, PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia), stomas, arterial lines, and potentially central lines.
• Shift Patterns: Day shifts - 08:00 - 20:00
• Start Date: Late February/Early March

Person Specification Qualifications

• Must have NMC Registration

Experience

• Must have 3 years experience working within a similar unit
• Experienced in comprehensive patient care
• Experienced in medication administration
• Experienced in post-operative wound care
• Experienced in clinical escalation in a fast-paced hospital setting
