Description

Join our Practice Management team to lead and shape our commercial finance function, driving profitable and sustainable income growth. This exciting role blends strategic pricing with purpose-driven decision-making. You'll bring strong commercial finance expertise, ideally from a law firm, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance profitability and pricing strategy.


Working with our Commercial Finance Advisor, you will:

  • Lead and evolve our pricing strategy to drive sustainable growth.
  • Advise partners and lawyers on strategic financial decisions.
  • Work closely with Practice Management, Finance, and BDM teams.
  • Develop and mentor our Commercial Finance Advisor.

Key Responsibilities Pricing & Strategy
  • Lead the evolution of our pricing strategy, balancing price and volume.
  • Implement best practices from both legal and wider sectors.
Delivery & Profitability
  • Support pricing decisions for large projects, tenders, and client engagements.
  • Manage Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs) to enhance profitability.
  • Improve pricing and matter management through analysis and partner collaboration.
  • Deliver commercial finance training and maintain engaging intranet content.
Client Success & Growth
  • Analyze client and matter portfolios to optimize profitability.
  • Provide insights on key clients and support business development efforts.
People
  • Develop and support the Commercial Finance Advisor.

About You
  • Strong commercial finance and pricing expertise, ideally in a law firm.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • A strategic, agile mindset with strong project management abilities.
  • The confidence to challenge assumptions and drive innovation.
  • CIMA/ACCA qualification or experience in Power BI (preferred, not essential).
